Dairy & Gluten Free Brownies

recipe for you on the blog today, and hopefully the first of many. I'm not that in to cooking but I really really want to be. I feel that starting with desserts may be the key to finding my passion in the kitchen.

These brownies are dairy and gluten free, and they are soooo good.

Excluding the eggs all of the ingredients are from one of my favourite places - Planet Organic.

(You could use any chocolate.)

(You could use regular sugar instead of coconut sugar.)

(You could use butter instead of avocado.)

STEP 1: Add half a cup of coconut oil into a saucer over a low light.

I did make a slight error whilst I was baking...

As you can see in the photo above that looks like a lot of coconut oil, and that is because it is. I added two cups and I was only meant to add half a cup, this meant that the brownies turned out to be slightly more gooey but they were still really good.

STEP 2: Add 300g of chocolate to the coconut oil and stir until it's all melted.

STEP 3: Pour your mixture of coconut oil and chocolate into a large bowl.

STEP 4: Add two cups of coconut sugar to your bowl.

STEP 5: Add one cap of vanilla extract (or vanilla paste) to your bowl.

STEP 6: Next add one cup of ground almonds.

STEP 7: Next mash up your avocado until there are not lumps in it, and add it to your bowl.

STEP 8: Add one tablespoon of baking powder.

STEP 9: Beat three eggs and add them to your mixture.

STEP 10: Put your mixture into a baking tray with grease proof paper. Pop it in the over for 25 minutes on 180 degrees.

(I had mine in the over for a bit longer because of my excessive use of conout oil.)

(Excuse the whole in the middle - I was checking to see if they were done.)

I enjoyed my brownie with some lovely strawberries and it was absolutely perfect.

Just to finish off the post, here are a couple picture of my lovely friend Kim -
