Double Shot & Somerset House

Last week Eva and I headed to Somerset House for an exhibition day.

We began with the 'Egon Schiele: The Radical Nude' exhibition, which unfortunately I couldn't take any photographs in. I really enjoyed the exhibition and additionally found it fascinating finding out about his incredibly short life and his different inspirations. My favourite pieces were definitely those argued to be his self portraits.

Following the Schiele exhibition we went to Double Shot Coffee for a little energy boost. I went for a mango smoothie and Eva went for a white hot chocolate. Both were sooo good and the decor of the cafe is so cute and warm, perfect for warming up on a chilly winters day - just what we needed.

We then headed back to Somerset House and went to the 'Guy Bourdin: Image Maker' exhibition. This was definitely my favourite exhibition we saw of the three with so many outstanding photographs.

Finally we popped into the 'Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie and The Advent of Punk' exhibition. It was so cool to see photographs following the development of the band as well as the whole music and artistic industry of the time.
