slumber party chic

I think its safe to say that we all love a themed party and we all love our pyjamas.

Now I don't want to speak for anyone, but I do get excited at the thought of the combination of the two.

Made In Chelsea, the home of some of the greatest and ridiculous reality TV moments, did this theme fabulously.

Mid semester update w pics from Blackpool

These pics are from a weekend trip to Blackpool I took with my parents over the summer. The text most definitely is not. It is currently November 2nd, I'm in Boston, I'm in class and I'm exhausted.

This past month, and this whole semester really, has been absolutely crazy. I haven't been able to keep up with my instagram and I've hardly been wearing make up - if you know anything about me these two factors really show how busy things have been.

It would be silly to say that things have calmed down, but a big 'project' (I will get to explaining this) has just come to a close so hopefully now I will be able to get back on track with this bloggy thing as well as my videos.

I thought it was cute to pair a manic update about what's been going on with these tranquil pics from my trip to Blackpool, because I'm cute right..?

here's my yesterweek: Back in Boston

Let's do this post like a diary type thing.

Today is Sunday 4th September.

Tomorrow mother and I fly from London to Boston.

here's my yesterday: Back to Boston! (with pictures in Notting Hill)

These pictures are not a reflection on yesterday, but the words are.

Yesterday, and today too, have been filled with packing. Packing to go back to Boston, which means my summer at home, in London, is coming to a close. I have loved being at home but I am SO ready to go back.

top tips to survive the edinburgh fringe festival

1. Plan your day...
... in regards to the shows you are going to see. I wouldn't say it's necessary to plan your whole trip but it is nice to know where your day is heading. In my opinion, it's best to do a quick and jam packed trip, which means back to back shows. So just have a think about what you want to see when you get up in the morning.

We saw 15 shows in three days.

That being said, if you ever have spare time it's definitely worth heading to a box office and asking what's on in the next hour and overall what they recommend.

introducing 'here's my yesterday/yesterweek'

I continue talk about my love and, almost, need to document things. I consistently do this through photographs. However, I do not feel fulfilled through the documentation of these photographs with minimal text. I want to continue to document my outfits and my travels but I want to increase the documentations of my thoughts and feelings.

(I didn't want to do a post without photos, so here are some cute photobooth pics I found of myself.)

The BFG

I recently saw The BFG in the cinema and thought it imperative to make a video about it.

It was absolutely fabulous and I would highly recommend it. Very impressive piece of work.

So magical and very heart warming.

no idiots pls

I have been extremely moody this weekend. It's not cute. Comfort food isn't cutting it. People are letting me down, and I'm just not at my best. I'm currently listening to ANTI which is, not so surprisingly, really helping me. I'm fab, this mood will soon pass.

Anyway, bad mood explanation over. However, people being idiots not so much. I came across this incredible Illustrated People top and couldn't help but giving it a purchase.

fairy princess

Being in London is just so fab. I feel that this new top from Blitz truly portrays the happiness I feel whilst being at home.

sweet treats in nyc

I'm SO behind on blogging so I do apologise if the order of what I'm posting is slightly incohesive. I want to share what I'm currently up to but I don't want to neglect all of the photos I've taken over the past couple of months.

Anyway, today we have another post from New York. And another foodie one at that. Here are some of my favourite sweet treats in New York. Yes, they are fairly typical but that should not and does not devalue them!

Counter Cafe

The Counter Cafe is my mum and I's new favourite place to take my grandma for a nice brunch. It's close to her and so so lovely. It's right on the canal opposite the Olympic park. Unfortunately the last time we headed over there it was pretty gloomy so we decided to sit inside.

rainy days in nyc

The first week I was in New York was full of rain and was unusually cold for the beginning of May. Definitely not the sweltering New York I left in July.

Brunch is The Best Meal of The Day (Brunch in NYC)

Being back home in London has greatly made me reflect on the past year. A big part of my life is food, I am a reaaaal foodie, and brunch is by far the best meal of the day. So I thought I'd share a couple of my favourite brunch spots in New York. If you ever get a chance to, definitely check them out!

Inside House of Toi

After a lovely, and much needed, lie in I'm still in bed on my penultimate day in New York. My mother arrives from London tonight, we're packing up my things tomorrow, and heading to New Haven on Wednesday. (My brother is playing in a tennis show case at the Yale campus - hence our trip to New Haven).

After finishing my internship, I had a couple of weeks left in New York that I spent helping out at Zang Toi's showroom.

Blossom Blanket in NYC (with late night thoughts escalating to the Brexit)

Helloooo there, it's currently 11:34PM on the 23rd of June. The votes of the EU referendum are being counted and I am anxiously sitting in bed refreshing bbc.com to see which side is ahead. I'm not sure if I'm going to stay awake to see the final result, but I am desperate too.

Anyway, there is still a while to go so I thought I would attempt to distract myself by writing this blog post. My absence is just due to busyness and perhaps a little bit of lazyness. But I'm back!!

I really love these photos I took in Washington Square Park at the very start of my time in New York, about two months ago. So I thought I would share them with you, and have a bit of a ramble.

The Balcony of The Whitney

Hello, to whoever (whomever?) is reading, sympathise with me please; I am so ill. But let us not dwell on these dark and ichy times of illness, and let's look back on happier times.

Pretty dramatic sounding I know, but that is what a persistent cold does to a girl. Anyway, I digress from the true topic of this post. My venture to the Whitney Museum.

I'd never been to the Whitney and I had been desperate to visit for so long, and it did not disappoint!

The Best Burger in NYC

Burgers are plentiful in New York, but if you really want to go for it and get the best DB Bistro Moderne is definitely your place.

The Steps of The Met

I'm here, in New York, for the next two months doing an internship in Manhattan! Jealous? As you should be. Haha, but seriously, I'm so happy and excited to be here for the start of my summer, finishing off my first year in America at an extreme high.

More on the internship later, I am only one week in.

My mother flew out to Boston to help me back up my dorm room. Once 6 boxes were put in storage and an embarrassing amount of bags were filled, we piled everything into the car and headed to New York.

I had a week to chill before my internship started, but chill we did not. I thought I'd start the recap of this week with our trip to The Metropolitan.

Lazy College Student Skincare Tips

I would love to say that I cleanse, tone and moisturise every evening and wet my face in the morning then pat dry and bla bla bla, but unfortunately that would be a lie.

College is busy.

Skincare is important.

But college is busy.

These tips will most definitely not be approved by skincare experts and your dermatologist, but they are approved by me as I use them everyday.

Here are some tips and tricks for keeping your skin (as) healthy (as possible) with the crazy schedule of a college student.

spring has sprung

Spring has sprung, and about bloody time.

I thought London weather was temperamental, but the weather in Boston is on a whole new level. We had snow a couple of weeks ago, we've had spouts of hail and a lot of rain; but the sun is finally here! Hopefully it's here to stay...

The blossom is really blooming on the Boston Common and I just had to capture it.

Here are the pictures Matilda and I took, enjoy!

Other Londoney bits...

I think we all know by now that I like to document everything and anything...

Here are some pictures from various things I did when home for spring break!

This Burberry cape has definitely made it to the top of my wish list... I'm a very petite person so I thought it would absolutely drown me, but no, it's perfect!

Gardens & Vogue Exhibitions

We're spoilt for choice with all of the fabulous museums in London.

Being home for just a week I only managed make it to two exhibitions, but there are so many on the list for me to get to in summer.

Mother and I began the day at the Royal Academy to see the 'Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse' exhibition, then headed to the National Portrait Gallery for the 'Vogue 100: A Century of Style' exhibition.

Hair & Ham Yard

I LOVE going to the hairdressers.

I have never understood my friends who hate getting their haircut and never go.

Hair grows! And I just love the beautiful environment of the hairdressers. In particular, my hairdressers; Daniel Galvin Junior. Below's a picture of me and the man himself.

Tea at Sketch! (bday part 2)

Following brunch, mother and I headed home to collect my brother and dad.

We headed into town to have afternoon tea at Sketch.

My Birthday (part 1) in Primrose Hill!

Whilst I was home in London for Spring break it was my 19th birthday! I was so happy I got to spend it at home and I had suuuuch a lovely day. Here is the first (out of three) recap of my birthday festivities!

I also filmed a vlog of the festivities if you want to check that out -

New York for the Zang Toi Fashion Show

A couple of weekends ago I got on a train from Boston to New York for the Zang Toi fashion show.

As well as all the photographs I've posted here I also made a little video if you want to check that out too -

mirrored glasses in the snow

Snow has finally hit Boston.

Along with this comes the opportunity to whip out the chic winter accessories and appreciate absolutely beautiful light it brings. We couldn't take these elements for granted, so Matilda and I decided to do a photoshoot (or a 'snowto' shoot if you will) in the snow covered Boston Public Garden.

The sun was out, which meant that glasses were a necessity, and the light was just perfect. I cannot say that it is the same today; classes have been cancelled due to a fairly violent looking snow storm.

So, while I venture out into the storm to get some food, appreciate your current surrounds and enjoy these photos Matilda and I took.

Wow Wow West Coast

And here we are. The final post recapping my trip to California and we finish in beautiful Los Angeles.

Now before we go into what I experienced in LA I thought I'd share the video I created of the whole trip -

Picturesque California

We said our goodbyes to Daniel, and our goodbyes to Claremont and headed to Monterey Bay.

Following our pit stop in Santa Cruz we drove on to beautiful Santa Barbara.

That's So Princess Mia (Photographs from San Fran)

As you can probably, hopefully, tell from the title of this post I have always associated San Fransisco with That's So Raven and The Princess Diaries. Due to my love for these two incredible art forms I was very excited to visit the city I spent many hours watching Princess Mia and Raven live their lives.

Home For A Week

Currently having a nice lazy Sunday following my first week back at college. Face mask on, Troye Sivan playing, and now reminiscing on my week in London over winter break.

I was only home in London for a week before heading to California (more info to follow in upcoming blog posts don't you worry). It was amazing to be back home and I'm so excited to back for spring break already. I didn't film this week at home, so it is with great regret that I am not inserting a YouTube clip of my vlog at home, a mistake I will definitely be learning from.
